The GRtL funding will help us to purchase Free Home Learning Bags with paint, scissors, craft resources, dough, animal counters… These will be ‘gifted’ to each child and their family. Guidance on how to use these will be provided.
The Getting Ready to Learn programme aims to encourage and develop parental involvement in your child’s learning as playing, reading and talking to your child will greatly increase your child’s language skills and how well they do at school. Getting Ready to Learn will increase knowledge and understanding around pre-school development and provide ideas and suggestions for home learning.
The nursery will provide a nursery prepared booklet for parents and children to use together with the Getting ready to Learn resources.
