St Joseph's Nursery School, Antrim

Mission Statement

‘Nurturing young creative minds’

Saint Joseph’s Nursery School aims to provide a child centred approach by educating children in a happy, caring and stimulating environment. It is within this caring and supportive environment that our children can develop and grow and become enthusiastic and highly motivated learners. In Saint Joseph’s we cherish Christian values and encourage respect and tolerance of others.

Saint Joseph’s Nursery is committed to providing effective, active learning experiences through play which are well organized and carefully planned to motivate and engage.

The curriculum is broadly based providing quality learning experiences through play for all children. It considers the children’s developmental needs allowing them to take the lead so they can progress and develop according to their different abilities. Children come to school with a wide variety of experiences. These experiences are our starting point and lay the foundations on which the nursery intends to build.

It is important Parents/carers and staff work together in the best interests of the children. If you have a concern or issue, please raise it promptly with your child’s Teacher or the Principal, Mrs Maguire. Through effective communication and dialogue most issues and problems can be resolved quickly and in an agreeable way.

Saint Joseph’s Nursery School is committed to continuous school review and self-evaluation and improvement.

In Saint Joseph’s we are committed:
